Meet Kyle Russ

Kyle Russ has over 12 years of experience in family law, having served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Family Law Section of the East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney's Office. He has also served as a staff attorney on the Family Court for Judge Annette Lassalle and Judge Hunter Greene. Throughout his career, he has earned a reputation for being a tireless advocate for Baton Rouge families and children through relentless preparation and a desire to make sure every case is represented with the highest degree of professionalism.

For over a decade, I’ve helped families and our youth through some very difficult times. Whether it’s divorce, child custody, or a protective order, when parties enter the courtroom, tensions are usually high. I’ll be a judge that brings calm, fairness, respect, and compassion for everyone involved.

Russ’ dedication to his profession and community extends beyond the DA’s office. He is an active member of the Baton Rouge Bar Association's Family Court Section, the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Louisiana Support Enforcement Association, and the Louisiana District Attorneys Association.

Raised in Baton Rouge, Russ attended Episcopal High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree in history with a minor in psychology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and his Juris Doctor from the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center.

Kyle and his wife, Lindsey, live in Baton Rouge with their two small children and their dog, Magnolia. The Russes are members of First Presbyterian Church of Baton Rouge.
